The results of the June session of the University Entrance Examination (PAU) once again place the sixth-form students at Colegio Arenas Internacional amongst the top performers in the Canary Islands.
21 jun. 2026
This year’s cohort achieved an average mark of 8.16 out of 10, whilst 60 per cent of the students who sat the exam scored more than 11 out of a possible 14. These results reflect the academic preparation they have acquired during their school years and will enable them to gain entry to the university courses they have chosen as their first choice.
Behind these figures lie years of learning, hard work and an education that goes beyond simply preparing for exams. The PAU marks the end of one stage and, at the same time, the start of new academic challenges for young people who are now embarking on their university studies with the best possible prospects.

These results reinforce Colegio Arenas Internacional’s reputation as one of Lanzarote’s leading educational institutions. It is an educational programme that combines academic excellence with the personal development of each student, fostering independence, critical thinking and the ability to successfully tackle the challenges of an increasingly globalised world.
In this regard, the school offers a distinctive educational programme, as it is the only school in Lanzarote authorised to deliver the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes, a methodology recognised internationally for its academic rigour and for preparing pupils to thrive in international university and professional environments.
The achievement of these results in the PAU confirms the strength of an educational model that supports pupils from the earliest stages of their education right through to university entry. This model is based on academic rigour, personalised support and a commitment to the holistic development of each student.
We at Colegio Arenas Internacional would like to congratulate all the pupils who took part in this round of applications. Their dedication and hard work have enabled them to achieve an important milestone and open the door to a new chapter, which they will begin next academic year on the university courses of their choice.
Its success is also the best testament to an educational community that works every day towards a shared goal: to provide young people with the tools, knowledge and values they need to build their future with confidence.
