International Programmes

Our commitment to provide the best education possible to its students has led to our alliance with the International Baccalaureate.

International School

The globalised world in which our students will develop, both professionally and personally, makes the acquisition of certain skills and attitudes a key factor for their success. These include communication, investigation and self-management skills, together with the development of an international mentality, as promoted by the International Baccalaureate Programme.

The AIS Group commitment  to provide the best education possible to its students has led to our alliance with the prestigious and world renowned educational organisation, International Baccalaureate, with a view to leading the way for international studies in the Canary Islands.

The IB continuum

AIS Lanzarote AIS Lanzarote is the only school in the Canary Islands that offers students the IB continuum of international education programs (for students from 3 to 18 years old). It has three educational programs, each one linked to a different stage: the PYP in Pre-school-Primary, the MYP in Secondary, and the DP in Baccalau

All are consistent in their philosophies and approaches to teaching and learning, providing a high quality, coherent and well-coordinated education.

At all levels, our spaces are places where students find opportunities to achieve maximum learning through a curriculum based on core ideas and fundamental concepts.

The IB program frameworks are well aligned with the national curriculum at all levels of education.

Transdisciplinary learning is represented as a dessert in which the ingredients are no longer distinguishable and the result is something completely different (Choi and Pak 2006).

Interdisciplinary learning is represented as a stew in which the ingredients are partially distinguished (Choi and Pak 2006).

Multidisciplinary learning is represented as a mixed salad where the ingredients remain separate and distinct from each other (Choi and Pak 2006).
